在民间乃至上层统治者,林业思想中包含着相当程度的迷信成分,风水说相当盛行,生态公益林被涂上风水林的色彩。无疑,清前期林业仍处于古代传统林业阶段。
但同时,清前期林业思想表现出由传统向近现代演变发展的趋势。人们在总结历史和现实经验的基础上,关于森林与人类关系的认识已不限于经济方面,而且开始注意到林业的生态效益和社会效益方面。这无论是在农本思想、风水思想中,还是在森林防灾和森林多效益思想中,都可体现出来。如,农本思想开始强调林业的地位,重视林木对河堤的防护作用;风水思想的盛行,反映出人们生态意识的加强;森林多效益思想对森林的生态和社会效益如护堤、防沙等作用已有一定的认识;尤其是森林防灾思想最能代表该时期先进林业思想的发展方向。少数先进人物,如鲁仕骥、梅曾亮、赵仁基等人,已能较深刻地认识到森林保持水土、涵养水源、防治水患等的生态作用,提出了森林备荒防灾的科学思想,尽管其内容还不够完善,还主要是为了保护农田、为农服务,但森林生态思想毕竟已经初步形成,昭示出真理的光芒,在学术、林业和生态建设上都产生了并将继续发挥积极影响。 参考文献

A Primary Study on Forestry Ideologies in Early Qing Dynasty
Abstract: In early Qing Dynasty, Chinese forestry was still in a traditional forestry stage. It was impacted by ideas of agriculture as nation’s root and geomantic omen. The forestry was mainly understood as a part of agriculture. So the aim was to pursue economic benefit of forest, economic plantations were emphasized to develop. In folks and even upper dominators, there were lots of superstitious factors in their forest ideologies. Geomantic omen theory was prevalent. At the same time, several outstanding people had taken cognizance of ecological effects of forest in profundity. Forest defending calamity theory and multiple use thought were brought forward, although not perfect, mainly emphasize forest to protect farmland and serving for agriculture, the forest ecological ideology had formed primarily since then.
