八生产合作社与乡保社，各社由一九三八至一九四八年曾贷放麦种二千余旧制斗。
(二) 推广农村教育
农村教育组曾督促推广处所指导之八十余合作社各附设私立小学一所，强迫社员子弟入学，并以巡回讲演方式授以农业科学知识，又曾举办农民训练班，又曾训练合作社职员四百余人，又曾举办民众夜校，农事讨论会，农产展览，农业展览及农民图书馆等。
(三) 促进农业生产
农业生产组历年来曾以示范繁殖及推广方法以推广各种优良五谷、蚕丝、苗木、果品、蔬菜、家畜等品种于农村，获得优良之成绩。




The general situations of China Agricultural Research
Institutions In Recent Century

Explainations of editor: Hu Hsen-hsu (1894-1968) was born in Xing Jian County, Jiangxi Province, whose assumed name is Bu-Zeng, and alternative name is Qian-an. He is a founder of Botany research field in modern times of China, at the same time he is also a famous expert of plant taxonomy. Although Hu Hsen-hsu is known as sciences ,he has obtained great attainments in Sinology too. He can be worthy of the name of outstanding scientist mastering unity and coherence in writing .He is also careful to collect historical materials on his study field of plant subject besides devoting himself to scientific research. He compiled ‘The Abridged Edition of Plant Taxonomy’ (Technology publishing house, Shang Hai,1958), Which comprises his brilliant historical exposition of research work to Chinese plant taxonomy and separately introduces the study achievements that the botanishes of Europe, America and China had obtained in Chinese plant taxonomy. There are also the same contents as it in this book –‘Collected Works of Hu Hsen–hsu’ (Higher Education publishing house, Jiangxi), which was edited and published by his posterity. I got these unfinished scripts When I collected historical materials at Institute of Botany CAS in spring of this year. I named it ‘The General situation of Chinese Agricultural Research Institutions In Recent Century’ according to the article meaning because it hasn’t title at first.
The author wrote this article in 1950, at that time he was appointed to research follow for Institute of plant taxonomy CAS. This article was divided into eight parts, which introduced mostly three agricultural institutions of ZheJiang ,Jiangxi, and HuaBei and the agriculture academics of five universities of ZhongShan, JinLin, LinNan, NanJin and XiBei. The contents includes some concise records of them. For example, beginning and end of foundation, development and the course of change, subordinate relation and change, and achievements in scientific research and so on. Nowadays many situations weren’t put down in writing, so these things can be regarded as historical materials of Chinese modern agriculture. After consulting with Institute of Botany CAS and his posterity of Hu Hsen-hsu, I was allowed to arrange them and publish them. I have put a mark at unfinished parts in this paper. Moreover the redundancy due to misprinting or miscopying are show by [ ]. I’m afraid that I can’t avoid some mistakes, welcome readers to point it out and revise it.
